The project will combine human-centred artificial intelligence, social robotics and home monitoring technologies to enable the early detection of frailty among older people.

The aim of ISACARE is to contribute to the development of an Industry 5.0 model, in which technology is placed at the service of people to improve their well-being, quality of life and autonomy. To achieve this, the project will combine artificial intelligence, social robotics and advanced continuous home monitoring systems to help detect the early signs of frailty among older people.

Technology as a tool for the early detection of frailty

Population ageing represents one of the main social and healthcare challenges of the coming years. In this context, frailty is placing increasing pressure on care systems and highlights the need for mechanisms capable of identifying changes in people’s physical or functional condition at an early stage.

The early detection of frailty can be key to preventing deterioration processes and enabling more timely interventions. ISACARE aims to address this need through a technological solution that enables the continuous and personalised monitoring of different indicators related to users’ well-being.

The project therefore seeks to move towards a more preventive care model, in which technology can help identify potential risk situations before more significant deterioration occurs.

Artificial intelligence, social robotics and home monitoring

The ISACARE technological proposal is based on the integration of the Temi social robot with smart home sensors and intelligent devices.

This technological ecosystem will enable the continuous monitoring of different parameters related to people’s health and well-being, such as vital signs, physical activity levels and adherence to prescribed treatments.

The data collected will be analysed using artificial intelligence algorithms, which will be able to identify patterns associated with potential risk situations and generate alerts to facilitate preventive action.

In this way, ISACARE aims to contribute to more personalised care while also supporting older people’s ability to maintain an independent life for longer, enabling them to remain safely and comfortably in their usual environment.

Pilot in real-world settings with OAFI

The project will be developed in collaboration with the International Osteoarthritis Foundation (OAFI), an internationally recognised organisation in the field of osteoarticular health and healthy ageing.

OAFI’s involvement will be essential to ensuring that the technological development maintains a people-centred approach. In this context, the foundation will coordinate a pilot in real-world home settings to validate the solution, gather feedback from users and assess its potential impact on frailty management.

Validation in real-world settings will make it possible to assess the performance of the solution against the needs of users and the different stakeholders involved in care. The results of the pilot will contribute to defining future development pathways and facilitate the adaptation of the technology to the real needs of health and social care professionals, caregivers and users.

A European project within the ARISE and Horizon Europe frameworks

ISACARE is being developed within the framework of the ARISE European project, an initiative co-funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe programme and aimed at promoting new solutions in the fields of robotics and human-robot interaction.

Through this initiative, Group Saltó reaffirms its commitment to developing innovative digital solutions that contribute to building a more inclusive, sustainable and people-centred society.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”120267″]Group Saltó and the International Osteoarthritis Foundation (OAFI) are launching ISACARE, a new European innovation project selected from […]

"slide_template_v7":"

87

post-85658","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
["GET
