The mayor of Lleida, Miquel Pueyo, visited Group Saltó’s facilities at the Agrifood Science and Technology Park of Lleida last Thursday, accompanied by Jaume Saltó, the group’s CEO.
During his visit, he was shown the main projects the group is working on, including the recent winner of the 5G Challenge organised by the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation.
The mayor of Lleida had the chance to discover the ins and outs of this project for himself. Its most unique element is the assistive robot, known within the group as “Foggy” in reference to the meteorological phenomenon typical of the city of Lleida.
In addition, Jaume Saltó took advantage of the moment to introduce the mayor to the team of people who run the group’s innovation projects and facilities located in the ICT building of the Agrifood Science and Technology Park of Lleida.
The visit ended with a lively conversation between the mayor, Saltó and members of his team, in which they discussed different aspects of the projects currently in operation as well as those to come.
