Group Saltó has been solidifying its commitment to robotics, developing solutions to improve people’s lives, digitalising and optimising automated processes, and promoting education through connected robots and IoT devices, all through its business division Saltó Robotics IOT.
The business group, which has lengthy experience in the field of robotics and IOT, has strengthened this division through a recent alliance made with Misty Robotics, a leading American company in the creation of state-of-the-art robots with diverse potential uses, which has established Group Saltó as the sales and development partner for all of Europe.
In this division, the focus is placed on different cases of applications, such as solutions for the caregiving and supervision of elderly and dependent people with robots and wearables. A clear example is the project SOM CARE, with which Saltó Robotics IOT has developed an intelligent care and accompaniment system through the use of robots. The system is especially designed to improve the lives of elderly people who live alone, thus facilitating the task of caregivers and professionals at health centres, residences, hospitals, etc. A project that recently led Group Saltó to win the 5G Challenge promoted by the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation.
In this sense, it must be remembered that in the context of the current health crisis caused the Covid-19 virus, robotic solutions which guarantee the accompaniment and well-being of elderly people, largely confined alone, or activities designed to complement the task of health, education and caregiving professionals, among others, undoubtedly form an essential part of an ever more necessary reality.
Thus, the division strives to develop personalised solutions, adapted to the specific needs of each project in the area of caregiving, research, education, logistics, or for any other purpose. All by means of a team of engineers in the division Saltó Robotics IOT, specialised in the integration and development of solutions with robots and IOT devices in very diverse areas: HealthTech, SocialTech, Smart Home, Smart Cities, Smart Industry 4.0…, which make it possible to offer complete projects for the efficient and intelligent management of processes, tasks and people.
