Group Saltó, along with 14 other companies, met with the Minister of Business and Labour, Roger Torrent, and the Secretary of Business and Competitiveness and CEO of ACCIÓ, Albert Castellanos, to firsthand explain their experience with the Next Generation Funds.

The meeting was a unique opportunity to share firsthand the projects that Group Saltó is currently working on thanks to the Next Generation Funds. During the meeting, along with the other companies, we had the opportunity to exchange knowledge, learn about other projects, and discuss possible synergies for the joint development of sustainable projects.

Group Saltó highlighted its leadership role in the implementation of the Next Generation Funds, sharing the positive results achieved so far. This experience is a testament to the company’s commitment to sustainability and responsible business growth. Currently, the business group is working on two pioneering projects in Europe, thanks to these funds, both based on the development of technological solutions. The first of these projects aims to develop a platform for managing robotic vehicles in the agricultural sector. In the second project, a Virtual Reality (VR) game is being developed to detect and manage emotions in children and youth between the ages of 8 and 12.

According to the report published after this meeting, Catalan companies have received €766 million from the Next Generation Funds of the European Commission since they were activated in mid-2021, representing 21.09% of the total awarded to Spanish companies, according to data from ACCIÓ – the agency for business competitiveness of the Department of Business and Labour. This is one of the main conclusions of the first assessment conducted in Catalonia regarding the access of the productive fabric to the competitive calls of these European funds activated by various ministries and agencies of the Spanish State.

Group Saltó and the other participating companies are optimistic and committed to continue working together to maximize the opportunities offered by this European fund and contribute to the sustainable economic growth of Catalonia.
